Aurora Solar Energy Project

EBS Heritage was engaged in 2017 by GHD and SolarReserve to undertake a desktop heritage and risk assessment for inclusion in the development application for the Aurora Solar Energy Project in Port Augusta. EBS subsequently undertook an archaeological and cultural heritage survey with representatives of the Barngarla Aboriginal Corporation. 

During the assessment, five Aboriginal sites were identified and EBS Heritage has been working with the client to mitigate impact to them through redesigning the project footprint and infrastructure layout.

EBS Ecology also undertook the relevant ecological requirements for the project. The successful collaboration of EBS Heritage and EBS Ecology in this project is a prime example of the kind of ‘one-stop-shop’ service that EBS Group can offer clients.
